What We Do
Seek understanding of current events and world affairs |
JWAC / MUN students participate in Model United Nations simulations and learn about world crises, while at the same time honing their problem solving, public speaking, and negotiation skills. In the Junior World Affairs Council, students will attend various educational events featuring speakers knowledgeable in diplomatic matters. This club will give high-achieving and ambitious students many opportunities to change their world, from spreading awareness about world affairs to meeting other outstanding individuals.

Explore opportunities:
|
Model UN: An opportunity to negotiate and problem-solve international conflict as delegates of countries, simulating the conferences of the United Nations.
Middle Ground: A platform to discuss opinions on controversial social and political issues, based off of those created by the YouTube channel Jubilee. Academic WorldQuest: An academic trivia competition regarding various topics in current events and world affairs, culminating in a regional competition in February. This year we plan to engage in Model UN and Middle Ground, host speaker events, and participate in various service projects! |
